MULTIMEDIA (DEFINITION BY Dave Marshall)

Ø“the field concerned with the computer-controlled integration of text, graphics, drawings, still and moving images (video), animation, audio, and any other media where every type of information can be represented, stored, transmitted and processed digitally.”
ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES
Advantages - multi-sensorial (sight, hearing, etc.), it can be interactive, caters to a wide audience.
Disadvantages - can take up a lot of digital storage, some products may cater to the larger population but neglect some groups (i.e. persons with disability, non-native language speakers).
THE DESIGN PROCESS
a. Pre-production- research, storyboarding, plan,
b. Production- creating the product
c. Post-Production- evaluation, redesign, documentation
d. Presentation- showcasing, gathering of comments.

MULTIMEDIA PROJECT - FINAL
Create a five-minute video presentation for your groups electronic portfolio, showcasing your previous learnings and projects (done) in all chapters of Media Information Literacy following the elements and principles of multimedia.
Ø  MULTIMEDIA RUBRIC (for 100 points)
     Content & Relevance:                                            30 (Teacher will rate)
     Creativity & Completeness of components: 30 (Teacher will rate)
     FB Likes or Comments – 2 points each:         40 (Maximum points)

***Polish your multimedia project, submit a softcopy before or after uploading in your leader’s Facebook Account tagged to all the members and to the teacher.
